I dunno if I'm "evening dj" material....

This is my first evening show @ kscu in a long, long time. I think since my "twilight" dj days. I'm more of a morning dj, but I supposed my sedated-dj-ness works at these hours as well. Hope some folks were listening. I think I get more callers in the morning hours. Any way... just keep me in mind for your Monday evenings, every week from 7-9 p.m.

Sadly, this is was my last Tuesday morning radio show for now, unless some miracle occurs today. Last week I caught Deastro live at Bottom of the Hill. I dunno, I think I am a big fan of the recorded albums, but not so much the live show. A little hippy-preachy, and I got water sprayed on me--maybe I'm just getting old. :) The F U of the week goes out to Frenchies Phoenix for canceling their show, and ruining my Saturday night plans. Rarr. I look forward to catching them when they come back though in September.

This week, I am seeing Death Cab for Cutie w/ the symphony at the Hollywood Bowl. It's kind of a Birthday gift to myself. OK, playlist is below.

Saw the Handsome Furs last night, they were AWESOME! One of the best shows I have seen so far this year. Super cute adorable couple, but not in a mushy Mates of State way (though I think they are adorable too). Super rocking, super loud, it was like dance-punk aerobics. See them if you get the chance. Also, went to BFD this past weekend... was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. DJ Mike Relm, Zion I, Limousines, Alk3, Metric are my top highlights. Crystal Castles and YYYs were okay. I think I needed to be closer to enjoy Crystal Castles, and YYYs set list was weird, but thought they were decent.
